The South

Fall has finally arrived in Georgia! October is my favorite month here in the south, hands down. Just as you start to see front porches full of mums and pumpkins, you also start to see the change in weather that so many of us have been desperately craving! The cool mornings are now lingering well into lunchtime. However, the mid-afternoon sun is still so killer, a cool day will turn into a sun burn if you’re not careful.

So the past few weeks, I have had to drive up north to the mountains to find fall. We are finally starting to see some of the colors change on the leaves and lower humidity is making for some crystal clear blue skies here in Atlanta. I consider this to be our reward for surviving a brutally hot summer. I love living so close to our bustling downtown and equally as close to these nature preserves. It was just a quick 10 minute drive down the road to the Chattahoochee River where I happily snapped up these great photos for my blog and met a few fellow photographers to chat with. Hope you enjoy a little taste of fall!
